Advanced Acting

Grade Level: 10, 11, 12

Pre-requisite: Beginning Acting, Audition, or Teacher Recommendation

Credit: 1 Elective

Fee: $10.00 per semester

Course Overview: Advanced acting is our most challenging course, specifically designed for the student who wants to focus on acting technique. Through warm-ups and exercises designed to bring out expressiveness in the voice, body, gestures, as well as extensive script analysis and character work in accents, acting for stage, stage violence, and directing, the actor will gain skill, confidence, and expressiveness as well as a toolbox with which to create a thousand subtle characters. Auditions are held yearly in April.
