Course Overview: This accelerated course is a continuation of 11th Honors, presenting a rigorous college level study of calculus in preparation for the Calculus AP exam administered in May. This two-period block course provides students with the opportunity to earn 12-quarter hours of college credit from an accredited community college in addition to high school credit. The course covers differentiation and integration of elementary algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions. Other topics included are conic sections, polar coordinates, and infinite series. This course is recommended for students intending to pursue advanced studies in mathematics.
