Computer Programming I

Grade Level: 10, 11, 12

Length of Course: Year

Pre-requisites: Algebra 1, good mathematical aptitude, teacher recommendation (no
previous programming experience required.)

Credit: 1

Course Overview: This course is designed to develop computer programming and mathematical problem solving skills, from basic to advanced. Students will learn techniques of structured programming in high-level computer languages. This course will stress logic-based problem solving and developing computer programs to solve problems. Discrete mathematics concepts will be introduced to enhance problem solving. College credit is available for this course.
