Course Overview: This course is a hands-on, lab-oriented class designed for those interested in medicine. Learn in depth about bones and fractures, venoms and poisons, obesity, how the immune system fights disease, and how specific diseases and pathogens cause the damage that they do. HIV, MRSA, and other diseases of recent concern will also be studied. Learn through simulations, guest speakers, and many activities how to diagnose from symptoms, how to read various medical tests, and how doctors treat various injuries and illnesses.
