Course Overview: This course focuses on earth's processes and resources. It is designed for the student interested in learning about large scale processes that shape the environment they live in. Subjects covered include: earth's resources, energy, the changing earth, and earth in space. Students will have opportunities to make inquires into the world they live in
Geology (first semester) will cover rocks, minerals, plate tectonics, volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
Astronomy/Meteorology (second semester) will cover surface water, ground water, weather, and astronomy.
