Course Overview: This course is intended for qualified students who wish to complete classes in secondary school equivalent to college introductory course in European history and prepare for the AP European History exam administered in May. Students will examine, analyze, and evaluate European intellectual, cultural, political, and economic history. Study of European history from the High Renaissance to the present will develop an understanding of the principal themes in modern European history. Students will be expected to provide historical interpretation through projects, discussion, debate, and writing.
