Length of Course: Full Year

Pre-requisite: Instructor Approval.

Credit: 1 Elective Credit.

Course Overview: This course is designed to accelerate the reading and writing skills of intermediate readers. The focus of instruction will be on strengthening
and applying effective strategies for decoding multi-syllabic words, improving fluency, and increasing comprehension across a broad range of literature and informational text. Written communication will also be emphasized. Students will receive instruction designed to improve the organization, clarity, and accuracy of their writing. This class is a full year and used as a support for students’ general education English class.
