ROSEBURG HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION STANDARDS COMMITMENT
CONDUCT: Seniors who plan to participate in the commencement ceremony are expected to follow all school policies regarding student conduct at school sponsored activities. All graduates are expected to cooperate in making this last formal event a success and an occasion for which all graduates and their parents can be proud. All participants must arrive on time and participate in the graduation practice, Friday, June 4. No-shows will be removed from the ceremony. Exceptions will only be made for emergencies that are communicated to administration no later than 3:00 PM on June 4.
GIRLS: Dress or Dress Slacks (no jeans) Dress Shoes (no tennis shoes, beach footwear or jogging shoes) For safety reasons, spiked heels are not recommended.
BOYS: Collared Dress Shirt with Tie Dress Slacks (no jeans) Dress Shoes (no tennis shoes, beach footwear or jogging shoes)
The ceremony dress is a commencement cap and gown. There are to be no additional adornments to this dress either on the gown itself or the mortarboard. The only exceptions to this are the honor cords, the orange tassel, and valedictorian and salutatorian medallions. Students who are observed to be in violation will be asked to change. Failure to do so will result in their removal from the ceremony.
