READY! for Kindergarten
The Roseburg School District is offering READY! for Kindergarten classes for parents of children ages 4 or 5 who will be entering kindergarten in September. This program shares information about the lively early-learning years before a child enters school, which lay the foundation for all future learning.
Classes are free to families whose children will attend one of Roseburg Public School’s Title I funded schools. Classes will be taught by the kindergarten teachers and school staff. Free child care is provided.
We will be learning about "Print and Literacy"- February 11th, "Logic and Numbers"- March 11th, and "Positive Relationships"- April 8th. Sessions will be on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:30 PM. Sessions will be held at Eastwood, Fir Grove, Fullerton IV, Green, Sunnyslope and Winchester Elementary Schools. There will be "free" materials given out at each session and child care will also be provided.
Please plan on attending if your child will be entering kindergarten this fall. Call 541-440-4005 or one of the above elementary schools listed for more information.
READY! for Kindergarten teaches parents how to “Play with a Purpose” which builds strong minds and relationships. Parents learn activities and receive free materials to make learning at home fun and effective, so each child will enter kindergarten ready!
