Bradford Drive, Roseburg, Oregon 97470 (541) 440-4081 OMSI ASSEMBLY 11/18/09 Thanks to our awesome Booster Club and our students box top collections we were able to bring OMSI to Fullerton IV for an exciting science assembly.  The program explored how solids, gases, and liquids change from one state of matter to another.  It covered Oregon State Standard Content Areas and Benchmarks as follows: UCP: 3,5,8; PS: 3,5,8; HNS: 5,8; SI: 3,5,8,10,12: States of matter, physical & chemical changes, energy conversions.  This was a great opportunity for an interactive look at science with lots of fun, hands on experiments for students and staff alike. Thanks again to our Booster and a special thanks to Mrs. Julie Clark for all her hard work in organizing our Box Tops for Education collections. DENTAL SEALANT PROGRAM Dozens of Fullerton IV students and families were recently blessed to receive dental sealants at no charge.  Dental Sealants are thin, plastic coatings painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. Germs in the mouth use the sugar in food to make acids that can create a cavity in the tooth over time. Sealants prevent these acids from penetrating the tooth.  Registered Dental Hygenist, Carol Poe, spent 4 days at our school examining students and providing preventative care.  Thanks to Mrs. Poe and her assistant and to Dena Coe, our Booster Club President for assisting with students.
