Jo Lane PSA to Hold Fundraiser at Celebration of Education.
Thursday, March 4, 2010 is Jo Lane's Celebration of Education. After school and during these activities, the Jo Lane PSA will be having a Schwan's Foods Truckload FUNDRAISER. The truck will be parked in the front parking lot after school that day and they will have a booth in the multi-purpose room during the evenings events. They will have a large variety of frozen foods available for purchase. Visit schwans.com ahead of time to see what they carry. You can even submit a pre-order (at least 48 hours in advance) at www.schwansfundraising.com. Click on the Online Order Form and enter Campaign number 26747. Schwan's recognizes that these are tough economic times. They have lowered the prices on over 100 of their products. You can make your purchase with cash, check, debit cards, credit cards, and Oregon Trail. Stop by early to get your favorite items as quantities are limited. They will even hold your purchase for you until you're ready to go home!
A percentage of the nights proceeds will be donated to the Jo Lane PSA. The more sold, the larger the percentage the PSA gets. Remember, Jo Lan's PSA is responsible for granting funds to various school projects. Currently, they are working towards funding the replacements of some badly damaged lockers, providing refreshments for Pioneer of Excellence Night, and Teacher Appreciation Week. Your support is greatly needed and appreciated. If you have any questions about this fundraiser, please call Rachelle Justice at 541-580-9064. The next PSA meeting is Monday, February 1, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center.
If you would like to volunteer to help supervise lunches in the cafeteria, we are in need of help for all 3 lunches. This is a great time to meet your student's friends and be active with your student at school. The times help is needed are:
6th Grade 10:15-11:00
7th Grade 10:51-11:21
8th Grade 11:49-12:19

Joseph Lane Middle School PSA
Important Albertsons Community Partners Action Item
Hello New Jo Lane Parents:
Welcome to Joseph Lane Middle School! Your student is about to begin a great adventure at a wonderful school with a great staff. The parents of the Jo Lane PSA we would like to encourage you to join us and start your own great adventure with a fun group of parents!
The Jo Lane PSA meets the first Monday of each month in the Jo Lane library at 5:30 p.m. Our agenda is fairly simple. We work to support Jo Lane teachers and staff in organizing and paying for those extras that are often so needed but difficult to fund.
In the past year we put on our second annual Back to School BBQ, help with the purchase of a baritone for the music program, Served food at Showtime Jo Lane and purchased gift cards at a bookstore that were given to students for reading rewards and assisted in funding PIE ( Pioneers in Excellence) night. This summer we are assisting with putting in a new walkway and patio that is being partially funded by a Lowe’s grant.
Please stop by our booth at Registration in August and say hello. We would love for you to join us! We also have a large email list of parents who often sign up to volunteer for teacher appreciation luncheons and other volunteer opportunities.
If you would like to start fundraising for Jo Lane NOW please register your Albertson’s Card. Go to www.albertsons.com, enter your zip code if requested, click on ‘In the Community’ which is in small words at the bottom of the screen, click on the ‘Community Partners’ picture on the right of the screen, click on the link for ‘shopper’ and register your Albertsons Card. For your Safeway card, go to www.escript.com. A portion of your purchases are given back to the school!
If you have any questions please feel free to email me at carharts@mcsi.net or call me at 430-3224.
Hope to see you in the Fall!
Sincerely,
Kirstin Carhart
PSA President
