Course Overview: This course is designed to provide a literacy-building environment for students. It will implement a balanced literacy program by teaching students reading strategies with rich and varied reading experiences, including fiction and nonfiction. Special emphasis will be given to comprehension, vocabulary development, and specific reading strategies.
