Introduction to Woodworking

Course Overview: This is the first class that all students are required to take to work in the wood shop with woodworking or construction classes. The class will include basic skills of working with wood, shop equipment, power and hand tools, shop safety, construction concepts, reading of drawings/plans, cost determination, building materials, and the exploration of the variety of trades for employment opportunity.
