Course Overview: Physics emphasizes conceptual understanding of mechanics, fundamental forces of nature (gravity, electricity, magnetism, nuclear), and waves (light and sound). The focus is understanding challenging physics concepts,
seeing how they apply to everyday experience, and doing it without large amounts of complex mathematics. The course is designed for students who have an interest in physics but only plan to take it for one year. It is recommended for college bound students who are planning science related careers and students who just enjoy learning about the world around them.
