Course Overview: Economics is the study of how resources are utilized to satisfy people’s wants and needs. Students will analyze and evaluate market economics. Emphasis will be placed on applying the principles of market economics to both private and public economic problems. The Step-up class distinguishes itself as different from the standard Economics class not by teaching a different curriculum, but by formulating alternative projects and assessments. Projects and assessments are created in an attempt to appeal to students who have not been finding success in the regular standard classes.
