A Special Thanks from Mr. Young:

Friends, if you are receiving this message, you are one of the many who helped to pull off our largest and most successful Living History Day. To use a cliche, I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!!! The amount of e-mails I am receiving from participants is really surprising. Many have commented on how responsive, engaged, and respectful students were. We were able to put on a classy show because of each of you. The ROTC kids helping me setup and cleanup (until 5:30pm yesterday), as well as being involved in the program; leadership students decorating the gym, NHS students baking cookies and passing out ice water to the "weary troops"; Step-up kids cleaning up the trash on campus in preparation for the arrival of the guests; Sheri Carson's kids preparing and serving our lunch; Joni managing to get our video to play and seeing the tears in the eyes of the guests when the lights were turned back on; the P. E. department for giving up their classroom; and Debbie and Karen for sorting through all of the "rubble" regarding the attendance slips. It was fun to work with all of you and to see our campus, and community for that matter, come together. Thank you. - Brian
