ECB - Buildings and Grounds Maintenance
Adopted: 11/14/90
Re-adopted: 8/13/97
It is the policy of the Board to protect the investment of the people in their buildings through a planned program of preventive maintenance for the care and repair of the facilities. This is to ensure that buildings and grounds remain attractive in appearance and enhance the neighborhoods they serve.
To accomplish this, the Board instructs the superintendent and the administrative staff to prepare a plan of maintenance and security. They will establish annual priorities through a cost effectiveness program of maintenance to meet the educational needs of the community.
In addition, they will establish annual priorities for the district’s budget committee’s consideration. The Board will then be informed of the priority maintenance needs and in turn they should be kept informed of their implementation.
