Notice of Budget Committee Vacancy
Two vacancies currently exist on the Budget Committee of Roseburg Schools. The first vacancy is to complete the remainder of the three-year term, which is due to expire on June 30, 2026, so the successful appointee will be completing the remaining months of this term. The second vacancy is a three-year term effective July 1, 2025 and will expire on June 30, 2028.
Qualified persons interested in serving on the Budget Committee are requested to submit a written letter of interest to the office of the Superintendent before January 5, 2026. Appointment to the Budget Committee will be made by the Board of Directors at their regular meeting on January 14, 2026.
WHAT IS A BUDGET COMMITTEE?
The Budget Committee is the school district’s financial planning advisory committee. The committee consists of the elected members of the Board of Directors and an equal number of qualified electors of the district appointed by the Board.
Appointment:
To be eligible for appointment, the candidate must (1) live in the District, and (2) must not be an official employee of the Roseburg school district and (3) must be a qualified voter of the Roseburg school district.
