GCAA - Standards for Competent and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators
The district views the position of licensed staff within the school system as one from which the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and responsibility are expected.
All licensed staff have a responsibility to make themselves familiar with and abide by the laws of the state applicable to their work, the policies of the Board and the administrative regulations designed to implement them.
Licensed staff shall comply with Oregon Ethic Laws and the Standards for Competent and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators. Such standards, as promulgated by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission and as contained in evaluation procedures established by the district are considered essential to the success of ongoing school operations and the district’s instructional program.
Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal, as provided by law and consistent with the district’s negotiated agreement.
