IGBAD-AR - Special Education - Parent Involvement

The district will consult with parents and solicit parent input in the development of district procedures to provide a full educational opportunity to students in special education.

The district may seek parental involvement through special task forces or parent advisory groups designed for the purpose of developing program policy and procedures for students with disabilities.

The district will, when appropriate, provide opportunities for parents to participate in skill building activities related to the assessment process, IEP process, carrying out individual programs at home and utilization of community services and agencies.
