Roseburg School District is excited to participate in the Kids Read Now reading program this summer. Every K-5 student in our district will have the opportunity to receive eight books at home in the mail during the break — for free!

Designed and proven to maintain reading skills over the summer, Kids Read Now is a nonprofit organization focused on best practices for reading engagement and growth. Before the final day of school, our teachers will be helping students choose eight books at their reading level. Students will also receive a bonus creative writing book containing illustrations that they can use as writing prompts.

Parents will be receiving information soon from their schools. Contact your child’s school if you have any questions. More information can also be found at portal.kidsreadnow.org or in the Kids Read Now app.

Our school district is able to participate in this program thanks to grant funding from the Oregon Early Literacy Success Initiative.
