Roseburg Public Schools

Summer is winding down, which means it’s time for parents and guardians to start the enrollment process for the 2024-25 school year.

Online enrollment for Roseburg School District is required for all new, returning and re-enrolling students. Families can access a guide to the online process and complete enrollment on the district's website at https://bit.ly/3vvkF3D. The school year begins Sept. 3.

Roseburg High School will hold in-person registration Aug. 20-23. Fremont Middle School’s in-person registration will be Aug. 14, and Joseph Lane Middle School’s will be Aug. 22. Elementary schools will announce dates and times for Meet the Teacher events soon.

“We are looking forward to a great school year full of joyful learning and growth for all of our students,” said Superintendent Jared Cordon. “The opportunities available to students in our district are unmatched and provide an important advantage for sparking a lifelong love of learning and inspiration for success after graduation.”

Roseburg School District emphasizes foundational learning in reading, writing and math while offering students a range of enriching experiences. Students are able to participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities free of charge.

Opportunities offered to students include: robotics clubs; lessons in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math); Career and Technical Education (vocational) programs; career pathways; job skills training; dual college credits; award-winning band and choir programs; a variety of athletic programs; school gardens; leadership opportunities; and more. The district also offers a comprehensive virtual school for K-8 students.

NEW THIS SCHOOL YEAR

The district has introduced a new parent communications tool, ParentSquare. The new platform replaces One Call Now and Remind. ParentSquare will be used for mass alerts and district updates; attendance notifications; and messages from schools and teachers to families. Parents and guardians will automatically receive alerts and messages sent from schools and the district but are encouraged to register for an account to participate in two-way communication, confirm contact information and update preferences. To learn more about the transition and how to register for ParentSquare, please visit https://www.roseburg.k12.or.us/families/parentsquare

ParentSquare will also be used to distribute e-flyers for the 2024-25 school year in place of Peachjar. The school district will be supplying all basic school supplies for elementary students this year due to the district’s use of Student Success Act funding. Parents should be prepared to send their children to school with a backpack, wired headphones/earbuds, and two boxes of Kleenex.

Families with questions about the online enrollment process and the new school year are encouraged to contact their child’s school for more information.
