The Roseburg School District is seeking community members interested in serving on its Budget Committee. There are three positions available on the committee, which serves as the district’s financial planning advisory committee.
The Budget Committee will begin meeting April 17 to consider the district’s draft 2024-25 budget. The term for two of the positions will expire June 30, 2026. The term for the third open position will expire June 30, 2024.
Qualified individuals interested in serving on the Budget Committee may submit a written letter of interest to the office of the Superintendent. Letters of interest will be accepted until March 1, 2024. Appointment to the Budget Committee may be made by the Board of Directors at a future regular meeting.
WHAT IS A BUDGET COMMITTEE?
The Budget Committee is the school district’s financial planning advisory committee. The committee consists of the elected members of the Board of Directors and an equal number of qualified electors of the district appointed by the Board. To be eligible for appointment, the candidate must live in the district, must not be an officer or employee of the district, and must be a qualified voter of the district.
