English Language Development
ELD stands for English Language Development. The program is designed for students whose first language is not English and whose English proficiency level is from beginner to advanced. This class will provide English language development through systematic and explicit instruction of vocabulary, grammar and syntax.
Since the Program's inception in 1994, there have been 21 different languages represented in the ELD program throughout the eight elementary schools and three secondary schools in the Roseburg School District.
The goal of the ELD program is to help students develop their English language skills.
