Roseburg Public Schools

Roseburg School District is now accepting Pre-K applications for the 2025-2026 school year.

All families living within the district boundaries are encouraged to apply now for their child to be considered for placement in the program. To be eligible, children must turn 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025.

The district will use the following enrollment process for the 2025-2026 school year:

  • First come, first served: Students who meet the eligibility criteria and apply before May 1 will be placed on the roster in the order applications are received.
  • After May 1: Remaining spots will be filled through a lottery system, which will include all eligible students who apply after the May 1 priority deadline.
  • Accepted families will receive a phone call on or before June 1.
  • Waitlisted families will receive an email on or before June 1.

Those interested in applying are welcome to attend “A Peek into Pre-K” from 3 to 5 p.m. April 2. At this optional event, potential applicants can visit any one of the district’s three Pre-K sites and learn more about the program.

Pre-K is offered through the district at three sites, including Eastwood (in partnership with the Douglas Education Service District), Winchester and Green elementary schools. The program offers morning or afternoon sessions four days per week, with no school on Wednesdays. There is no cost to attend.

Children’s early life experiences deeply affect their physical, cognitive and social-emotional development. Roseburg Pre-K provides a high-quality early learning program that aligns with both the Oregon Early Learning Guidelines and the school district’s K-12 system to ensure positive outcomes and a smooth kindergarten transition.
