Congratulations to Ashley Marshall, Second-Grade Teacher at Winchester Elementary School, Jessica Grubbs, Instructional Assistant, also at Winchester Elementary School. These employees were presented with Crystal Apple Awards at the October 9 School Board meeting.
Here's what their school leaders had to say:
When you hear about a loving and caring teacher at Winchester, you think of Ashley Marshall. Mrs. Marshall was a previous student of Winchester from kindergarten through fifth grade and has been a teacher at Winchester for 19 years. Mrs. Marshall is a vital member of the 5D Instructional Framework leadership team for the school, where her voice among her peers and students truly shows that she believes in the vision for student success at Winchester. She brings knowledge and history that is powerful to the constant improvement of the school. When you pass Mrs. Marshall on campus, you are always greeted with a positive smile and outlook to the day. She truly has a passion for students, believing they are successful while providing a loving and high-expectation environment for them to thrive.
Jessica Grubbs is currently a very hardworking Instructional Assistant for Winchester. She is also an upcoming student teacher who will change the lives of many students, including the ones she already had the chance to work with. Jessica truly works hard to build relationships with every student she interacts with. Her enthusiasm for continuous learning and positive attitude are highly contagious. She will be invaluable wherever her educational journey takes her. The Winchester staff wishes her the best as she begins to embark on her new journey as a student teacher on our campus this winter. Winchester has truly loved having her as an IA for the past few years but is even more excited for her next adventure. She is and will always be part of the Wolf Pack.
