Welcome to our Family Toolkit for the 2020-2021 school year. Here you can find resources and information to help guide you through the year. We will continue to add more support over the next couple of months.
Clever is an easy way for students to log in and learn with most of the online programs they use at school. With their own personal portals, students can learn with resources selected by their teacher and district.
How to access: Visit the Roseburg Public Schools district site or any school subsite; navigate to the Students menu and click on the Clever link in the dropdown.
One Call Now
Roseburg Public Schools currently uses One Call Now to send voice and emails to families throughout the district. In addition, the district will be implementing a text alert option that will be used for only the most crucial school and district messages.
How to make sure your contact information is up to date: Contact your students' school to update your phone and email.
How to opt in to text message alerts: Text “ALERT” to 22300 to opt in for text messages.
Remind is a communication platform that helps educators reach students and parents where they are. Messages are sent in real time to an entire class, a small group, or just a single person. Elementary school teachers and staff will be implementing this communication tool this year.
How and where to log in: You will receive an email from Remind, in order to activate your account, and have the option to download the app.
Google Classroom will be used to streamline assignments, boost collaboration, and foster communication. Classroom is available on the web or by mobile app and can be used with tools such as Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar. Google Classroom will be used for elementary grades.
How and where to log in: Google Classroom will be available to reach through your Clever portal.
Canvas learning management system is a web-based software that allows institutions to manage digital learning, educators to create and present online learning materials and assess student learning, and students to engage in courses and receive feedback about skill development and learning achievement. Teachers for Grades 6-12 will be using this platform to support remote learning.
How and where to log in: Once you log into your Google account, click on the 9 dot-icon, scroll down and click on the Canvas icon.
Parents and students in need of tech support for our learning and communication platforms should direct questions to the appropriate contact for their school. All questions related to devices or hot spots borrowed from schools should also be directed to these contacts.
