ODE Facility Assessments

Statewide School Facilities Assessments

The Oregon Department of Education contracted with Bureau Veritas to conduct onsite facility condition assessments of Oregon public school facilities. The program provides districts with standardized reports identifying deferred maintenance and estimated costs. Roseburg Schools’ 2026 assessment reports identify approximately $116.2 million in anticipated 10-year needs districtwide, including approximately $47.7 million at elementary schools, $41.1 million at middle schools and $27.5 million at Roseburg High School.

These estimates reflect deferred maintenance and the projected repair or replacement of existing building systems as they age. They do not include improvements or modernization, such as adding new HVAC systems or upgrading buildings to meet modern educational standards.
